Tau Stormtroopers

Behold what is probably my best-painted squad ever, even if it isn't complete. Everything is fuly highlighted, and I'm really pleased with the colour scheme, which will be used for the whole army, following a very simple paint update on all the existing troops (inking over the blue, red gore then blazing oragne details). These will be played as Stormtroopers (with grenade launcher, hellgun, plasma gun and hellpistol/chainsword respectively) once I've painted up the last couple (one of which still needs building).

Decisions, decisions...
I don't know what colours to paint the Tau crossover army. The initial idea was just to use the standard Tau colours (vomit brown) but I figured that it was a bit overused and not very distictively mine, partcularly if standard Tau units start getting incorporated, in which case they would just end up being the same as everyone else's. I also have no vomit brown.
To attempt to solve this problem I painted up a few rough ideas for schemes, and so I need your feedback: which one? Remember that the scheme has to look equally good on Tau as well as IG.

Guardsman Squad 1

Finally I added the Tau backpacks and trimmed the end of the gun to make it more distinctive. The Imperial eagle was covered up by the antennae from the Tau sprue. The Sergant has a Tau head and a gun drone antenna on his backpack, and the Vox-caster also has a Tau head, with a Cadian Vox.
Tau

I'm in the process of constructing a Tau/Imperial Guard crossover force. The first 400 points (at least, perhaps up to 1000 or even 1500) will play as an IG force, simply themed as Tau. I have a number of conversion ideas lined up and the idea is to post some quite detailed guides on how to make these yourself. For now I'll satisfy myself by detailing roughly how I made these troops, using just a box of Cadians and a box of Fire Warriors.
